He genuinely did his best to locate humpback whales and regularly checked in with passengers throughout the trip to make sure everyone was okay. His professionalism and effort were the highlight of the experience. I'm not saying this isn't a family friendly experience for everyone. Other families may have a different experience. However, based on ours, we didn't feel welcomed from the moment we check in with a female staff member. Seeing this female member engage warmly with the two children behind us several TIMES throughout the experience while never acknowledging my child left us feeling overlooked. My child became seasick during the trip. The staff member walked past us countless times, yet never once checked if my child was okay or asked whether we needed any assistance. That lack of care made us feel ignored. There are plenty of whale watching experience available for half the price. The reason I chose Whale Tales and was willing to pay more was because of its reputation for being family-friendly. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience. And I believe there are better value whale watching experience available.
