This fun and exciting challenge requires you to use all your cunning and survival instincts as you navigate an underground lair that was built for the preservation of cave trolls.
After taking an elevator ride down into the depths of the earth to the cave you'll have to solve a range of riddles to complete the mission - just be careful that you don't stay down there for too long or you might end up being someone's dinner!
Will you complete the mission? You're going to need all the help you can get so make sure you work along with your teammates so you have more chance of survival!
An exciting experience for all ages, the Troll Cave adventure is an experience you won't forget.

100% Recommended – An Absolutely Fabulous Experience! Our visit to the Waitomo Trof Caves was nothing short of incredible. We drove two hours to get there, and it was worth every single minute of the journey. From start to finish, the experience was magical. We went as a family and enjoyed every single bit of it. The way the caves blend reality with fantasy is so well done – it feels like stepping into another world. Everything is beautifully crafted, immersive, and full of surprises. A special shoutout to Peter, who was absolutely awesome. His energy, knowledge, and passion made the whole adventure even better. If you’re thinking about going, don’t hesitate. It’s fun, unique, and unforgettable. 100% recommend – truly fabulous!

Thanks so much Dries ! Like so many things in life - what you get out depends on what you put in! ...and you guys entered into the Troll Cave with good heart and good humour. We want this to be an opportunity for coherent families to "mess around and let their kids push their personal comfort zones". You could say it's "team building for families" ...and the ones who get the most out of it would already have a strong family vibe going on...like you guys - who were awesome ! Amazing day out for the kids!
Starting at the beginning with a lovely, child friendly welcome at reception, the Waitomo Troll Cave experience is really a thrilling, fun and interactive adventure for the kids. Once venturing off to the cave itself, the scares started early before the children even got inside (mild, but fun!!) Peter really makes this whole experience - his story telling, his interaction with the kids, the mild adult humour, Peter is clearly someone who is both passionate and loves what he does. The experience itself was better for our 10 and 13 year old (just the scary parts...) however, the 5, 7 and 8 year old raved about it the entire way home and nearing the end. Easily the best escape room experience we have taken our children through and us 3 adults loved it just as much. The water, the lights, the tunnels within the cave are awesomely believable for the children and the whole thing is certainly a value for money experience. All happy girls on the drive home already asking for their next visit. Thanks so much Waitomo caves and especially, Troll Cave team!
