Discover the thrill of wing foiling with a practical lesson designed for first timers and developing riders.

Start by getting familiar with wind direction and wing handling before moving onto a stable SUP board. Build your skills at a comfortable pace as you learn to steer, manage speed and complete basic turns on the water.

Once you are ready to progress, take your skills onto a foilboard and experience the excitement of lifting above the water.

With personalised guidance, simulator exercises, radio communication and video feedback, you can work on balance, control and more advanced manoeuvres while gaining confidence on the water.

What's included

  • Expert instruction from expert coach

  • Radio helmet communication during instruction

Duration

  • Allow approximately 2 hours for the whole experience

Location

  • Location (within the Mt Maunganui Area) to be confirmed via email. Depending on the wind / swell conditions.

Bad Weather Refunds

  • If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the bad weather, safety concerns, unscheduled maintenance etc) you will be entitled to a full refund.

Notes

  • Important: This activity heavily relies on favourable wind conditions. To give you the highest chances of succession, please select your preferred time block, and the exact location and start time (within your chosen time block) will be confirmed via email once Foil Sports has the chance to confirm the weather conditions and process your booking.

    I.e. If you pick Morning from 8 AM - 12 PM, Foil Sports will get in contact to confirm your exact start location and time between the hours provided.


    Please note: As much as Foil Sport endeavours to go on the date & time scheduled, your safety and enjoyment is paramount. In the event of adverse weather or no wind on the day, the lesson will be cancelled. You will be offered either an alternative date or a full refund.
