Fantastic experience kayaking through Lake Mapourika with an excellent guide. We got to the other side of the lake and saw plenty of wildlife. At moments the creek we were kayaking up was absolutely still and not a sound was to be heard aside from our paddling and the nearby birds. Highly recommended, would do it again.
We were a small group paddling relaxedly while enjoying the beautiful panorama. The guide was fun relaxed and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended for solo travelers!
Brilliant kayaking trip. Experienced guide who was very informative and fun. We saw so much on the lake and was accompanied by a beautiful view of mt cook and my tasman as we kayaked. Would recommend
This was a truly wonderful afternoon. I went with 2 of my kids aged 11 and 15. Everyone goes in double kayaks, so one of my kids was paired up with one of the super friendly guides. People in the tour ranged from zero experience to pretty good kayakers - anyone can do it. The guides who took us there were great. They looked after us, took care of everything from insect repellent, through transport to setting up and packing up the kayaks for us. They were fun, friendly and knowledgeable, and provided the added value of a good guide to the amazing experience of rowing on this serene and beautiful lake. They even took photos for us. The highlight of our west coast trip this year!

Great paddle w Kev
Lovely kayak around nuggety Mapourika combined with a short walk in kiwi country. Our guide Kevin was very knowledgeable and just an all-round great guy. We saw two white heron and a piwakawa who followed us and put on a real show. Serene and beautiful .
