Kiwi Encounter
Great experience. Learnt alot. Best place to see Kiwi birds up close in NZ.

Really enjoyed backstage tour of wildlife centre
I really enjoyed learning about the plight of the Kiwi and Tuatara, and I got to see the Tuatara up close and was lucky enough to see a Rowi Kiwi searching it's enclosure for food, which was a magical experience. My guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, too.

Waste of money. Read about Kiwi see a stuffed one
Kiwi are very hard , almost impossible to see, βtourβ consists of staff talking about what they used to do to help the rare Kiwi. They have stopped the work so they are passing around stuffed Kiwi and an egg and showing pictures and video. Cool to see local reptiles but overall I would miss this.

Backstage pass not worthy
it says 60 min for backstage pass but its inclusive of the 30 min self guided tour . we can see 2 kiwis , can see tuatara wont say its worth the penny the guide was kind enough to answer our questions and explain longer if we shell out tips

Very informative, glad we did this tour
Amber provided great information, spoke very well. So glad we paid extra to do the backstage pass.
