Hi Ian, Thanks for your excellent review. I'm delighted you and your parents enjoyed the tour and enjoyed experiencing relationships built with the wineries and vineyards over the past 20 years. Many thanks for your great feedback. Best regards - John McFarlane
Great afternoon with beautiful scenery. Very knowledgeable host . Winery's were awesome with some tasty wines to top it off. Cheers.
We had a great afternoon out with John touring vineyards and visiting the gannet colony. John was very knowledgeable about the birds and knew the vineyards, their wines and processes well. He went out of his way to make sure the day was fun and enjoyable and we will definitely try and arrange another day out with him in the future.

Awesome way to spend an afternoon
We had a really enjoyable time during the weekend visiting a couple of the great wineries out in West Auckland. John was a very welcoming and easygoing yet experienced host, really easy to talk to, leading to a comfortable and educational experience. The plans for the day were also flexible - we were able to choose which places we wanted to visit after a brief introduction of each. As mentioned by the previous review, it was clear John was very well-versed in the local wines and had good relationships with all of the wineries, so I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone else!
