wild kiwis
after booking 2 nights in the campground for the sole purpose of doing the kiwi tour we were utterly disappointed for our booking to be cancelled the day before, due to 20% chance of rain…it actually turned out to be a beautiful clear starry night…a few phone calls later we were put onto the next night & it rained…Legend was a gem though & we saw 4 kiwis…the sky cleared & we got a lovely view of the milky way… many other stars & constellations were pointed out…Hot chocolate & biscuits to finish the night…was so exciting…thoroughly recommend this tour :-))

Tawharanui Kiwi experience
After a shaky start with being cancelled due to "bad weather" which was never going to be, we had the most amazing experience. Legend was a knowledgeable and personable guide. We could nor have asked for better. 4 Kiwi seen and great dark sky viewing

NZ highlight
Amazing kiwi spotting tour. Well worth it for anyone wanting to see a kiwi in its natural habitat. Our tour guide Legend was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We ended up seeing 7 kiwis, great experience!

Great experience
Fun night looking for kiwis. We walked a fair distance and our guide Legend was a great and went to great lengths to find some kiwis. We managed to find about 3 which we were happy with. He then set up the telescope while we drank hot chocolate and biscuits where we saw lots of stars and the moon close up. It was a great experience,
