This revolutionary vessel glides silently above the waves, giving you the sensation of flying as you cruise smoothly across the Waitematā Harbour.

You’ll enjoy an intimate and premium experience, complete with expert commentary that brings the city’s skyline, Harbour Bridge, and marine environment to life.

Whether you’re a local looking for something amazing to do or a visitor seeking the ultimate Auckland highlight, this one-of-a-kind adventure blends cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and breathtaking views into an experience you’ll never forget.

This service is weight restricted to 800kg for 8 people per sailing, crew will use their discretion when operating the vessel.

  • Viaduct Harbour Marina - Our crew will meet you at the departure point
  • diagonally across from the Maritime Museum entrance
  • near the Explore ticket kiosk.

Restrictions

  • Minimum age: 5

  • Children under 5 years old are unable to travel on Manta. Guests aged 5 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Notes

  • Check in: We recommend arriving 15 minutes before departure to ensure a smooth check-in process. Unfortunately, late arrivals may result in missed departures, and we are unable to provide refunds in these cases.

    Meeting Point:Viaduct Harbour Marina - Our crew will meet you at the departure point diagonally across from the Maritime Museum entrance near the Explore ticket kiosk.

    Duration: The ferry returns to Viaduct Harbour Marina after 40 minutes, completing the first-in-the-world electric hydrofoiling tourism experience.

    Weather Conditions: In the event of foggy weather conditions, we may need to rebook affected guests onto the next available departure. This is due to maritime regulations limiting vessel speeds within the Auckland Harbour, making Manta unable to lift its foils.

    Weight Limit: The vessel has a total passenger weight limit of 800kg per service. Crew will monitor this for safety. If exceeded, affected guests may be rebooked on the next available departure.


    Please Note:

    • The vessel does not have on-board toilets or washroom facilities. However, our crew will direct you to nearby facilities at the marina before and after your journey.
    • Unfortunately, due to the vessels size, boarding process, and safety requirements, Manta is not wheelchair accessible.
