Smaller boat but left a big impression
I've been lucky enough to visit Milford 5 or 6 times. My previous two had all been on the large flashy cruises. I was sceptical at first with the size of the boat... But this turned out to be a bonus. Closer to wildlife and p.o.i. and smaller friendlier crew. Highly recommended. In all, a surprisely

Extra charges for 3 min late
We were late for 3 min and they charge $300 for new booking that’s not worth it

While our team tries to be flexible, we must adhere to fixed departure times per the guidelines of the Milford Sound harbour. To help avoid any issues, we request that all passengers check in at least 30 minutes prior to departure. In this instance, your group arrived after the vessel had already embarked on its voyage as scheduled. We happily arranged for you to join another provider at a significantly reduced rate for your group of eight. We’re sorry to hear that this solution didn’t meet your expectations. We intended to ensure that, while you were unable to join your scheduled cruise, you didn't miss out on a beautiful day in Milford Sound / Piopiotahi. Kind regards, Mitre Peak Cruises
