Great gold mining experience

kater35 said... Goldfields Mining Experience was a fun thing to do on our drive between Queenstown and Wanaka. Interesting exploring the grounds and remains of the huts and gold mines. The seated talk inside was informative and interactive and the kids were listening to every word. Passing around gold samples was great for them as well. Then at the end to be able to pan for gold was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend putting aside 2-3 hours for this experience, and you can lunch there as well
