Ah, the moon on the lake is quite the spectacle, especially when it's a full moon over Sulphur Bay. Thanks for sharing this great 5 star review.
Was a great experience with the different alkaline and acidic pools
Thanks for visiting and hopefully you got some great healing benefits from the Rachel Alkaline spring and the Priest Acidic springs on out site. One treats joints and muscles and the other treats skin.
This was fantastic with 7 or 8 pools to choose from . The views were lovely looking over the lake. The temperature varied a bit in each pool. We had a lovely relaxing time until the emergency alarm went off and everyone had to leave the center to check on the problem - after 20 mins we could all go back .
Sorry about that. Unfortunately these things happen (not very often thankfully!) Hopefully the rest of your soak was great and you managed to relax and rejuvenate. Great pic of the historic pools and Priest Spring source, thanks for sharing.
Definitely not a highlight, seemed more like a tourist trap. Changing rooms and bathrooms were completely outdated and dirty. Wouldn't go again.
Our facilities are regularly cleaned and maintained throughout the day, so it’s disappointing to hear your visit left a different impression. While parts of the site reflect the historic nature of Polynesian Spa, we also continue to invest in ongoing upgrades and maintenance across the complex, bathrooms included. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and will take your comments on board.
Waters were much colder than the temperature shown. Most importantly the water should be warm, yellow and greenish as a result of minerals and sulphur, but it was mostly grey and cold. We have seen many pieces of cloth, tissues and dirt in all pools.
Thank you for your feedback. The Pavilion Pools are supplied directly from our two natural geothermal springs, and the appearance of the water can vary throughout the day due to the minerals present. The Rachel Spring is rich in sodium, bicarbonate, chloride and silicates, while the Priest Spring contains high levels of sulphate, along with silicate, sodium and chloride. In the Priest Spring pools, sulphate minerals can sometimes be visible as yellow mineral crystals or particles, which are a natural characteristic of the water. Pool temperatures are monitored regularly throughout the day both manually and with advanced plant equipment with each pool maintained within its designated temperature range. As individual comfort levels vary, some guests may perceive temperatures differently, particularly when moving between pools of different temperatures. We also appreciate your comments regarding debris in the pools and will pass these on to the team for review.
