Soak up the soothing healing benefits of a Deluxe Lake Spa at Rotorua Polynesian Spa...
We had a lovely afternoon in the pools. It was nice not to be crowded and to have a quiet atmosphere.
The facility is beautiful! BUT! We arrived at 9:30 PM, thinking the facility closed at 11:00 PM, which would give us nearly 1.5 hours to enjoy. We were informed that pool use needed to stop by 10:45 PM, which was fine since we’d need time to shower anyway. However, at 10:00 PM, we were suddenly told we had only 30 minutes left. As a result, we barely spent 40 minutes in the pool and spent the whole time worrying about the clock. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
Hi Tanya. Thank you for your feedback. We close at 11pm which means everyone needs to be showered, dressed and on their way out by then. We start our evening pool emptying and cleaning procedures at 11pm when our night maintenance crew comes on. You should have only been asked to vacate the pools and proceed to the changing rooms at 10:40/10:45 pm though which would have given you an extra 10 minutes. We will certainly bring this up to our pool management team. We are sorry to see that this made became anxious around time instead of enjoying your soak. Hopefully you can return for a really long soak and come visit us earlier in the day.
After three weeks of travelling, going to the spa was exactly what my sister, my friend, and I needed. The weather was perfect, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the pools made for a wonderfully relaxing afternoon.

Deluxe Lake Spa
I enjoyed my visit at the Polynesian Spa. Very friendly staff on site, I had a ticket for 11:30am but no problem to get in earlier as it wasn't busy on a Tuesday morning. The Spa is quite old but well maintained. Recliners inside as well would be a nice upgrade. Overall a relaxing experience but $65.00 is still a lot of money even with a 'BookMe-Ticket'.
