An amazing insight into life in a Maori village that lives daily with the prospect of sudden thermal activity.

A privilege to visit
Mum and I loved the tour of Whakarewarewa village. The stories our guide Waimaria shared provided insight into the whakapapa of the village and her manaakitanga reflected the long tradition of warmth and welcome the village has provided over generations. It was a privilege to be shown around the village. Ka rawe!
