There’s another side to the Whitsundays waiting to be explored beyond its famous islands and beaches. Our relaxed five-hour mainland tour takes you through Airlie Beach and the surrounding Whitsundays countryside, combining coastal views, local food and drink, colourful characters, independent businesses and some of the area's lesser-known attractions.

Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned touring bus accompanied by a friendly local guide. Rather than simply sightseeing from the road, this experience gives you plenty of opportunities to step off the bus, explore and experience the mainland for yourself.

Explore the Whitsundays Mainland

Your adventure starts in the heart of Airlie Beach at the Coral Sea Boardwalk. Take an optional stroll along the waterfront, enjoy the tropical surroundings and admire views across the Coral Sea.

From Airlie Beach, we'll travel past Coral Sea Marina and Cannonvale Beach while your local guide shares stories and information about the area. Leaving the town centre behind, we'll make our way inland into the lush Whitsundays hinterland.

One of the highlights along the way is a visit toWhitsunday Gold Coffee Plantation. Discover more about locally produced coffee, meet a local business and enjoy a taste of the warm hospitality that makes the Whitsundays so special.

We'll then make our way toColour Me Crazy, a vibrant and wonderfully unusual local attraction that's full of colour, creativity and character.

Continuing through the scenic countryside, we'll travel towardsConway Beach, where you'll have time to experience this laid-back coastal community.

Here, we'll stop atGeorge's Diner, a fun retro diner inspired by the classic American diners of the 1950s. Lunch isn't included in the tour, so you'll be able to choose from the menu and purchase whatever suits your appetite and budget – whether that's lunch, a milkshake or something sweet.

After your Conway Beach visit, we'll begin our return journey towards Airlie Beach. Our final stop isThe Summit Lookout, where you'll have the opportunity to capture spectacular panoramic views over Airlie Beach, the Coral Sea and the Whitsundays.

Lunch is not included in the tour price. During our stop at George's Diner, you'll have the freedom to select and purchase your own meal, drink or treat directly from the diner.

This gives you the flexibility to choose what you'd like to eat while keeping your food spend within your own budget.
