Join us for a day of Whitsundays sailing aboard Illusions 2 and see why past customers have said we are the best day cruise in the Whitsundays!

Illusions has been operating in the Whitsundays for over 20 years. Illusions has been owned and operated by Josef since 2004 doing the same trip for all that time, to Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island and Langford Reef. This gives you the best experienced crew to help you get the most from your day.

A day aboard Illusions 2 features:

Small number of passengers, maximum 20, so room for all to sit

Relaxed areas for lying down and sunbathing. 45% of the vessel is covered to give you protection and shelter from wind, rain and sun

We can guarantee 100% that you will spend more time snorkelling than any other day vessel in the Whitsundays

We are not a racing vessel, or claim to be the fastest boat, but we can say we are the most relaxing. Being a stable catamaran you can even make a cup of tea while we are under sail.

We give you the choice of great snorkelling and the opportunity to have a go at a beginners dive. But if you are a certified diver we will give you a memorable dive in the Whitsunday.

We conduct these dives with an emphasis on 100% safety, conducted by us, not contracted

out as some boats do.

Both of the crew are qualified skippers and two of the most experienced dive instructors in the area, with a combined total of 10,000 dives between them.

We are not a fishing boat but from time to time we do drop in a line and have caught some decent size fish at times.

Best relaxing dive, snorkel and sailing in Airlie

Thanks to Josef and Naomi Well done for giving Jade and l a wonderful day out in the Whitsundays! The intro diving is a must swimming with the fish and turtles on Hayman Island. Taking our time sailing back was another highlight. Best day out you could ask for from Airlie Beach! Cheers guys

Perfect Day

Perfect organized tour from pick up till dropp off. When sailing out there were dolphins next to the boat. Snorkling was great. We saw tons of fish, turtels, sandy beaches... Naomi and Joseph gave clear instructions and there was some graet food as well. We really loved our day out!

Whitsundays sail and snorkel

Great day out from Airlie Beach to Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Is - sadly no wind so had to motor out but very scenic, great snorkel with fish and coral and nice lunch on board.

Since weather conditions were not good, we did our immersion in an area unknown to the dive master, who seemed lost underwater. Therefore, briefing was vague, and during the dive itself we were literally waiting for indications. Next time, if weather is that bad, give us the option to change date Boat trip itself was really nice, and staff were friendly

Great day out

Naomi and Josef were amazing from the start and we can't thank them enough for such a great experience. They saved us from a last minute cancellation with another boat the day before and arranged our transfer at 10.30pm the night before we sailed. The day out itself was perfect, you can relax on the Catamaran as you sail out to the first snorkelling site. Seeing the new coral life growing is an incredible, privileged sight. The areas they took us too were teeming with sea life and the highlight has got to be the turtles we saw at Langford spit, incredible. They create such a personal and friendly environment, lunch is just what you need after a day of snorkelling before you relax on the sail back to the harbour. If you're looking for friendly, knowledgeable people to take you on a magical snorkelling day trip at a great price then look no further.
